(what I always carry with me once I leave the house):
at least three packs of paper tissues (I'm an allergic, when I go out for more than a few hours, there can be up to 15 packs of tissues)
keys
wallet with money, photos, bank cards (it's way too big, but I like the color - red)
lip balm
mobile phone

My should go list
(what I carry with me most of the time; only leave it when I only go to the groceries around the corner or if the purse of the day is too small which seldomly ever happens):

scarf (for hair - against sun or rain)

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine stated that no one would carry more stuff with her than she does. We both emptied our purses and she shut up
The weird thing about my purse is that I usually don't use most of the things I have on me. I still feel incomplete if I go without them. Sort of a lunatic, I am.

Hmm... In my purse... First of all: I carry a big scary back breaking bag!
I *LOVE* my 'Marry Poppins' bag! But after much back pain & annoyance Ive decided it well past time to greatly down grade to a small hand bag... I like novelty purses so...

*Several random items! You never know what you'll find!

Quite a difference!! Not sure I can 'make it' with out all my goodies!!

haha, i don't really have a 'purse', but carry a giant leather satchel to hold all my stuff... on regular days, it can contain:

wallet full of cards, tickets, a tiny bit of money, buttons and maybe needles
cellphone
keys to my house and other places
hand lotion
lip balm
sunglasses
a few bobby pins
a pencase with different pens and markers
loads of paper from different sources
a sketchbook
a notebook
sunblock

exceptionally: a camera or a spare set of underwear/toothbrush/socks (for different reasons, travelling and stuff)

Then there's always random stuff at the bottom of each different purse, like bobby pins, peppermints, pennies, receipts, notes, etc.

I'd like to get in the habit of bringing a little hair brush, 'cause the comb's not much good for my long hair when it's down. I never have sunglasses or my cell phone on me, don't know why I always forget them. A tape measure would be really sensible, too! I switch purses/bags a lot, though, so I actually want to try to travel a little lighter, but it's all so necessary...
