Picked this one up back in May. It had been poorly stored, Ignacio cleaned it up for me.

It’s the earliest Last Drop liner I’ve seen: no oil skin cover, stars on the sweat crest, liner fold to right rather than centered. Two pics to show how it hand forms.

The embroidered Last Drop Liners just do something for me. This one especially with all those X’s! Looks like a pretty perfect specimen. Congrats.

This arrived today, some quick initial pics and observations. Very nice felt, slightly softer and more pliable then my later 7X bound edge. This one is more of a western style with over a 3” unbound brim, nearly 6” crown height and 3 ply ribbon. Fit is excellent, just slightly roomier then my other example. A few pics below, will try to post more with additional thoughts this weekend.

Side by side, the sweat is slightly lighter brown.

Both have maple leafs on the sweat but this new western has the oil slick liner as opposed to the plastic.

Most excellent! I was kind of hoping it was a 6 5/8 or full of moth holes. ;)

Glad the fit worked out Ross. Makes me wonder how the seller could be off so bad on the 22" circumfrence.

Very nice. I still have to find myself a last drop 7X. Looking forward to more pics.

Is that a $2.00 bill I see tucked in there? Does the wifey know you have been hanging at La Casa Diablo??? [emoji6]

Keep forgetting to document mine here. I'll start with the most recent find. 40's/50' Canadian mfg.

Not my usual but when I saw 7X CB I read the description and looked at the photos once. The BIN was a nice one. I don't think many others saw it before I pulled the trigger. After having plenty of time to study the pics I suspected it might be Canadian made with the foil size tag. I reached out to a couple of buds and they had suspicions as well but no confirmation. It was very dirty and musty with with some markings under and along the edge of the brim. Steaming and sponging helped but it needed a gas bath. That helped but some markings remain that I'll worry about later if I keep the hat.

As soon as I picked it up it was obviously a 7X CB. The finish is as fine as a great suede or buckskin. The density of the felt is what draws me to these hats, along with how easy it is to mold the crowns. They will 'pop' in and out as you please. This one is particularly soft and is finished to more of a dress weight than either of my other two. The brim is as flexible as Gumby and transitions from the down to up position with ease. The Mode edge is really thin and finished to a standard I've not experienced. I have a 20 mode edge and have owned a Guild Edge and Cavanagh and they were all nice but don't match up. Clear Beaver on the liner tip with maple leaves all around. Oil skin liner tip protector. Great 2" sweat and the liner is heavy with the seam to the right. The ribbon could be described as Champagne in color and it is unique. Look at the pics in direct sun. Hard to find a stitch anywhere on it or the bow. Nice and straight blocking. 2 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Thank you, HJ. Wish they would all pop open the way this one did.

A very special hat, and a real treat to see all the pictures here. Thanks for posting, Greg.

Thank you, Doug and you're welcome.

Wow, Greg! Love that edge and ribbon, looks great can’t wait to see more!

Thanks a lot, Ross.

Great hat! I don’t know what I was doing that day, but I missed it :)

Thanks, Daniel. The beauty of the BIN. I'm pretty sure I bought it within moments of it being listed.
