Well, I have returned, and my SLS has no removable liner that I could see. Are you able to post a shot of said silver button, Stephen?
I am out of town on biz, but will be back on Thursday a evening and will post some photos of the "removable " sweat band .Well, I have returned, and my SLS has no removable liner that I could see. Are you able to post a shot of said silver button, Stephen?
Actually, rather than try to take & post new picks, just look up Carter Removable sweat bands on the Fed lounge, and you will see a thread full of great photos !I am out of town on biz, but will be back on Thursday a evening and will post some photos of the "removable " sweat band .
Thanks Bob!Yeah! You go Moe.
Thanks Red! It is a really nice well-made hat.Similar to my SLS. The Carter detachable sweat is kind of a misnomer, I couldn't begin to remove mine either. Cool feature though. Mike at NW Hats gave up on messing with it also. The crown on this one is substantially taller than mine, brim looks the same. Great hat Moe.
I saw this on Etsy for a good price the other day, and jumped on it. Got here today, rumpled and with a wonky brim but nothing a bit of steam and TLC couldn't fix. Came in a Champ box a bit too small for it, so that might explain the brim. The box happens to fit my Stetson bowler perfectly. The condition otherwise is near mint.
The crown is 5 1/2" open, the brim 2 1/2". 120 grams total weight.
The detachable sweatband is interesting. I don't really want to tempt fate by detaching it to get at the factory sticker and slant-bug union label that I can see the tops of, so use your imagination for those.
Here's a better color shot.
And with a rough diamond and a quick pinch. The felt is so nice and thin and cooperative.
The shadow across the top of the hat on the last one kinda messes with it, but the sun was fading and I had to move around to get shots.
I'm going out on a limb here and guessing mid 50's on this one. Any input always welcome.
Sent from thin air using electricity and other wizardry.
Thanks moon!Very fine score moe
