I had a 79 Silverado back in the early 90s. It was a nice truck, the previous owner peaced it together out of several junkyard trucks, so it had all the bells and whistles.

Speaking of 79 Silverado's, I ended up with a 2016 Toyota Tacoma because I wanted a mini truck. While parking it in the garage, I thought, this sure seems like a tight fit. I went on line and got the dimensions for the Tacoma and the 79 C10 short bed and you guised it, the Silverado was smaller all around! What happened to the mini truck?

I looked at this today. I did not buy it, but it was a really nice truck. 1983 C20 with 454, 700r4 auto transmission and 86,000 original miles.

Nice truck Harv. I had an '81 Scottsdale, 350, 4-speed manual, 4WD. Sold it to an elderly cousin to drive between his cattle ranches. It's sitting in the woods behind his house. I'm tempted to go drag it out ...

I drive a 1999 Saab 9-3. A bit beat up, but it gets the job done. The color in broad daylight is what can only be described as "Chicago River Green". I don't have any idea what other kind of color it matches than the putrid, dirty, trashy green that is the Chicago River.

I thought some of you might like this. The car show is the first Saturday of the month during the Summer. I went for the first time last week, the show is even bigger now.

BoaterHat, welcome to the Lounge. I do hope that you dress the part when out and about in that magnificent Buick.

At a classic car show last Sunday, I saw these two fine looking Jeeps:

On the same day, this was put under wiper of my car.

As you are new, if you haven't seen my car, look left.

Might not be the fastest, classiest on the road, but it gets me to where I wanna go and best of all...
It’s all paid up ! :)

A few years ago, I was offered a Ferrari 308 cheap, I did not buy it after I found out the cam belt had broken, and there might be some major valve problems. I told some of my friends that if I had bought it, I was going to look for a YUGO! Then I could get a bumper sticker for the Ferrari saying, "my other car is a YUGO!" :D

My 1958 Ford Thunderbird at a local meeting at Krazy Horse.I do have the correct wheel trims but leave them off as they tend to detach at in-opportune moments.Plus,a vintage Hillman.

Peter -- I like them both, but the T-Bird is special as my folks had one ('58 convertible) as I was growing up. I also know what you mean about the wheel-covers. I spent a good hour in a ravine trying to find one off my '57 Cadillac after hitting a bump and watching the wheel-cover pass me and take off into woods at the side of the road. I did eventually locate it and it was not damaged (other than weak clips they were very well made).

My 39' Buick Century.

It's probably the colour, I have seen a couple of 39 Centuries, both black, looking all Gangster, but in blue, with such an amazing paint finish, you must get asked almost weekly if you want to sell it. A couple of weeks ago I saw a similar Buick, residing on our side of the pond, in RHD. It too looked resplendent, glinting in the sunshine.
