You know your cars. When I bought the MG, what I really wanted was a model known as: "MG WA." But so few were made, and their production was halted when all of our factories were commandeered for the war effort in 1939. Production of the WA didn't resume after WW2, so from just a few hundred built only a small number remain. And even if you could find one, they command a king's ransom. Here's a WA that I saw at one of the best vintage events in the UK: The Goodwood Revival.Wow love those two cars! Is the Packard a Super Straight 8?
Wow that is super clean! For some reason it reminds me of a scaled down version of a Rolls. Wonder if who designed that car also did some work for Rolls Royce? You know your cars. Wonder why that Bugatti is right hand drive? New avatar LMM? Forget the Bugatti, you have some of the most stylish, works of art, in car design, right in your own country.
Then of course there is this Bugatti.....check out how tall the wheels are and how large the car was! BEAUTY is what is there. I would LOVE to own that Bugatti! Varrrooom! HA!
A man name of Cecil Kimber was the head honcho of MG before the war. He wanted to give William Lyons, the founder of Jaguar, a run for his money. You can read about The WA here.Wonder if who designed that car also did some work for Rolls Royce?
Nice to see, I'm not the only one here with, "champagne taste, on a beer budget!"You know your cars. When I bought the MG, what I really wanted was a model known as: "MG WA." I like the hearse. My first car was nearly a 1959 Cadillac hearse. It was $500 in 1976, but I was a bit worried about getting dates with it (or the "wrong" dates).
2jakes, was it you who said they would be scared witless at driving on the left? Over in The What Hat Thread, there's a rather nice American that's made a new home on the 'wrong' side of the road.Spring time is “Texaco" time & cruising the hill-country backroads.
