Darn. I am really curious when it is not proper to wear a tie. I know in the shower and with pajamas but I can't think of any other time.

I got to know the Salvation Army manager so well that even when I moved out of state he'd save the ones wanted so when I returned for a visit I'd have a good number of nice ones awaiting me....

The host of a party shouldn't look like a pig.
A tie certainly doesn't belong with a sport shirt.
The only outlandish ties were made in the 1970s. lol
