My new blazer just has to have the right shoes to compliment it. Yesterday, my wife Tina, treated me. They should arrive in a few days or so. Here's the blazer and the shoes: And just for good measure there's a Borsalino to top off the ensemble also on it's way. Just don't ask how much!

Here are pics after picking them up yesterday.

These vintage shoes are NOS. If you look carefully they are same size shoes that are different.

These gorgeous shoes I picked up from Georges Shoe and Repair yesterday. The heels needed replacing and I had sole protectors glued on to protect them from gentle wearing. Excellent work by the cobbler.

A bit of Collonil 1912 conditioner, Saphire Mirror Gloss and serious brushing were all done this morning.

Absolutely magnificent!

From the era when America still made fine footwear. Reminds me of a Johnston and Murphy last from when they were one of the finest U.S. makers.

When we toured Scotland way back preCovid we saw ALL Things Harris Tweed....not just clothing but purses, wallets, flasks, water bottles....etc etc. with the tweed inlays. But they are missing here....someone needs to come out with a line of shoes with Harris Tweed inserts. Hell, I would buy a pair. Nice looking shoes ya got!

Thank you for your kind compliment. Can I look forward to seeing you wearing the kilt sometime soon? In Harris Tweed of course, as well as: a "Made in Scotland" label.

My grail souvenir from Scotland was to be a bolt of tweed to have a bespoke jacket made once I got home. Could not find a tweed I was happy with even on Isle of Harris...but in a shop in Dornach I bought a beautiful.....don't hate me.....Yorkshire tweed. It is a mix of light lavender and bracken brown that captures the colours of the Highland landscape perfectly.....it just happens to NOT be Scottish woven. I passed on the kilt

Yorkshire Tweed, isn't it just the way? You must have tasted a wee dram or two whilst in the home of Scotch Whisky, how I savour and enjoy such delight, like an angel crying on my tongue. So why am I so enamoured with that, ugh, ghastly American concoction called Jack Daniels? Because it's so very good, that's why. Much the same as Yorkshire tweed, if it's good, it's good, no matter where it's origin.

I know that brands like Cheaney and Herring make leather/tweed shoes but unfortunately not a Harris tweed:

Nike did a Harris Tweed series but i think Air Forces are not what you are particularily looking for, maybe they might do well as an investment though…;)
