Most of this has probably been posted here before, but yesterday I had a tidy-up and sort out. In the bottom of my wardrobe are four racks of skeletal shoe trees, they are perfect for keeping shoes in good shape. Here's a couple of those racks, removed from the wardrobe.

Having so many multi-coloured shoes requires a quite a paraphernalia of shoe creams, polishes and cleaning equipment. That was mostly what I was sorting out. How simple it would be to have a larger version of the kit that I take with me to festivals, dance weekends and other events.

Collecting dust at the back of the wardrobe is my shoe suitcase. It came up a treat after a dust and light polish.

Now I am sorting by style, but that won't last long, I still put shoes back on any available tree, at least I keep them in pairs.

Science tells us!

What will it tell you about me when I wear my new (to me shoes)?

(BTW: I am using the sellers pics.)

Truth in posting: Minnesota variable early spring weather has found me wearing modern Alden footwear of late.

Hello all. I'm pretty new to FL, and up to now have only posted in the Hats forum.

I picked up a pair of Dexter derby shoes at the Salvation Army store today. I was wondering if anybody had any idea about how old they might be or maybe a model name. The were made in U.S.A., and a Google search told me that Dexter stopped manufacturing in the U.S. in 2001. Beyond that, I wasn't able to find much.

All the pictures except the last one are of the shoes in the condition I bought them in. The last one is of how they looked after I gave them a little TLC.

Thanks in advance for any insights!
