@Edward
I realize this is a very old post & don't know if you still own this pipe. It's a Silva & most that surface are in countries like Portugal. The stem is Catalin or Bakelite which dates to the 1920's & so the pipe can't date to the 1890's like someone posted above.
I like Catalin & Bakelite pipes. This one is currently on eBay.

Thanks for the info! It seems like there is no end of warehouses full of stummels being found. Most were destined to be seconds because of the amount of pits & fills in the briar, but work perfect with today's sandblasted finishes."Wartime unused Finnish tobacco pipe – Tiera Reproductions" https://tiera-repro.com/product/finnish-tobacco-pipe/
There are still a few quite similar ones available here.
Congratulations! Patent pipes regardless of the brand are getting fewer & farther inbetween. You can look up to see what the patent was for since you have the number.Just received this circa 1937 Linkman's Dr. Grabow Deluxe Bruyere 9902 with Patent 1896800 on the bottom and "propeller" emblem on top.
Looks to be in really good shape. Seems barely used.
A little cleaning and I'll give it a puff in the near future...
