Today I wore my Target dress (I actually found one in my size!) - the black one posted about in the VI Clothing topic...It came with a black sash, but it looked too plain, so I made a new sash out of leopard print material, and I also made a little headband to match. Wore it with my leopard print flats and was all set. Not totally Eastery, but since it was freezing I wasn't about to dress too springy!

Well pooh. Sounds like the weather got the best of us! I had to wear something warm too... a grey and mauve suit from like 1999, lol.. I think I'm going to get rid of it. Felt weird in it all day, esp. with those huge shoulder pads! I had never worn it before, still had the tags on. But I had always been too heavy.

Oh well, even when the weather doesn't do what's expected, we seem to pull something cute out of our closets! [huh]

Ladies, LOVE the hat pics! And the clothes--darling, too! Made it to Good Friday services but I was only 4 days out of the hospital from my neck fusion so I was lucky to be able to do that! Too weak and sore for Easter services (my "hat" would have been my ginormous neck brace!) but am looking forward to when I'm out of this thing and can find more cute hats for spring and summer! More pics, ladies!!

Deco Belle-- Thanks! I love Barbara's hats. She's a gem! she's offering a new one called 'Delovely' and will be posting pics maybe next week...it's going to take some will power!

Eitenne--Oh my! I hope you are recovering from your surgery comfortably!

I'm having a new hat done by a millinery I've recently discovered. She's working from period hat blocks. I have her doing a straw doll hat and hope to give a good report here shortly!

It won't matter what I wear, I am a communion assistant and will be wearing a robe. I am not too thrilled about it, because I was a communion assistant on Christmas Eve. At least my mom was here for Christmas, so my husband had someone to sit with. But this Sunday he will have to sit alone. And I like the sunrise service on Easter, and I have been assigned to the 11:00 service which will be PACKED.

I am honored to be a part of the the wonderful services, but I may try to find someone to switch with, hehe. I also cry my eyes out all through Holy Week, Good Friday is the worst but I cry alot at the Maundy Thursday and Easter services as well. And of course Communion is right after the sermon, which always makes me blubber, even on a normal Sunday. So to have to help with Communion with red eyes and a tear streaked face makes me feel a bit silly. I don't think I know anyone else that cries like I do.

Anyone got any cute Easter clothes to show off this year? I bought a dress on E-bay that i may or may not get on time due to some crazy international pay-pal issue...so please cheer me up by showing me all your pretty bonnets and frocks.

aww..that's beautiful!...and so is the outfit:) :)

Thanks! The hat is a all white Betmar, and I put light purple ribbon up and around the crown, along with darker purple fabric flowers in front. Unfortunately you can't really see them at that angle.

In May it's going to the Kentucky Derby (on my head), though fairly tame as Derby Bonnets go.

It's a 'De Lovely' hat by Barbara Feinman - I thank Honey Doll for tipping me off to Barbara in the first place!;) I'm addicted!
