I have a 30s-40s Lee in a beautiful fawn color. It originally had a deep chocolate ribbon, but it was shredded, so I had to replace it with the current one.

My two latest.....a Dobbs from the late 70's and a new Stetson Strat. Many have complained about the weight of the new "Royal"Strats but I absolutely adore the light weight and vevet soft feel.....reminds me of many vintage versions I have handled (regrettably not my size bean).

I love Colorado Mountain Hat! I'm glad to see that other people know about them, I kind of pictured them as being kind of a secret mountain shop.

I was in Fairplay this summer and was just meandering around town when I saw the shop. They were unpacking from a cowboy action shoot. Smitty was kind enough to answer my questions, and then he offered to take a sizing and give me the template. I went ahead and ordered the hat. I have a duplicate in black on order now.

Yeah, they're great. My sister lives in Fairplay, and I ordered a hat from them a few years back, but never really wore it because the brim never seemed right to me. A week or so ago, I emailed them wondering if I could pay for them to shorten it, and they said they'd change it free of charge.

Both Cherie and Smitty are great. I even offered to update their website, to make it a bit more user friendly and modern.

They do need an updated web presence. I emailed them earlier this week but haven't gotten a response yet. I'll give it until later next week before making a follow up call as I suspect they may be at the big rodeo.

Yeah, it's festival season for them. Cherie warned me she might be slow to respond.
