Are there others similar to this as well? Are any of these on the pattern sharing thread?

I am wondering if a clip would work instead of a headband...

I really don't like headbands so I too have considered a clip or a comb to hold the piece in place. Unfortunately I can't see a clip staying in my hair so I opted for the headband which I style my hair around so it cannot be seen. If you do use a clip let me know how it goes!

I just won a lot of 2 40's suits. I was bidding on it mostly for the suit on the left. If you're interested in the suit on the right, let me know!

My two favourite dresses I've made recently...

I didn't like the way the sleeves looked on me so I made them short and poofy. The high neckline NEVER looks good me, so I left it open and piped it. One bow was enough.

Wow~ Amy Jeanne! Didn't you just start sewing not too long ago? The things you post sure look fantastic. I hope I pick it up that quickly. Did you take a class or are you picking this all up on your own? I have really admired your pattern/fabric selections - they are right up my alley.

Thanks! I've been sewing since September and I only had two informal "lessons" with a professional seamstress friend. Everything else I just figured out on my own and by doing it/taking chances. :)

And everyone else's dresses on here look FABBBBBBB, too. I admire hand-made dresses so much!

I am totally mortified by these pictures.
I finally made a dress from one of the first patterns I traced. An early 30,s Dubarry.

A Past Patterns 1930's skirt. I wanted to make it longer but I didn't have enough fabric.

This hat would look better at a different angle and the viel needs work. I made the necklace also.

You have the best taste in patterns! We should make copies for one another sometime! ;) Are you an 18 or 20?

I'm nearly finished with Hollywood 932. I ran out of thread for buttonholes. I'm not really happy with it, though. Compared to my latest 50's dress, it seems to add at least 10lbs.

Kamikat-
I think that the top is incredibly flattering for your figure. If you don't like the whole thing, perhaps the gathers in the front of the skirt are the issue? Maybe more of an A-line/flat front might be better for your figure? The front pleats maybe just aren't needed.

I am always so impressed with your skills though. That color is simply spot on!

Thanks ladies.

The top is a cross between the simplicity 4324 and my own inspiration..

Thank you about expressing your opinion about the labels :) He ordered the labels from a label manufacturer here in Holland.

He just told them the style, wrote the design in paper and described the colors and thats it!!!:)
