I did finally finish my sweetie's vest. It's a touch small but it's done and he requested I make another, though he agreed I don't need to go from dirty fleece to vest. Here's a pic:

and it's associated blog post http://tenukihandcrafts.blogspot.com/2011/04/bills-mystery-cardigan-vest-is-done.html

I love this vest and would love to make one for my husband. Is it crochet or knitted? (I also spin, but don't have much time lately. But who ever does?) I love that you used the naturally colored fleece. (I grew up on a sheep farm with all naturally colored sheep, so I have a soft spot for this type of thing.) Beautiful!

Wahine, I think that's a great idea! They look really cute! It reminds me of putting new makeup into old vintage containers - I still want to do this :) (And I'd probably crochet something like that if I knew how)

Thanks sheeplady! It's knitted. I am less skilled with crochet. Also, crochet takes approximately 1/3 more yarn than knitting a similar garment, so I don't not particularly motivated to crochet larger items with my precious hand spun yarns. The spinning does take a long time, but I'm not trying to raise them. I can't imagine the extra time involved with sheep wrangling, although I had the pleasure of shearing sheep once.

I'm almost done with my second big spinning/knitting project, now with blog post: http://tenukihandcrafts.blogspot.com/2011/04/thistle-pullover-v-neck-vest.html

Thanks! I did plan to do a red gingham this summer, but it never got done. Weather's been so cool here lately, that I'm starting to think flannel already!

I've just finished my Swedishy Selbu modern hat. It took just 2 days to make and reminded me how much I love colourwork! I dyed the yarns myself and am chuffed with how they turned out.

And I got a bit too excited to try it on, so I'm afraid the only picture of it on me is with me in my lounging around the house clothes!

Looks like I will be bumping up this thread...
Anyways, I am a crafty gal! My specialty is cross stitch!

Finished last year and making into a pillow for my fiance's two year old sister:

Probably most proud of this. I made the pattern myself! This was for my mom for mother's day:
