My parents (or whoever) regularly wrote this kind of information on the back of their photographs. When I was growing up they had two or three photo albums filled with mostly black-and-white photos that somewhat catalogued their lives, and I enjoyed looking at those photos over and over and over. Unfortunately, my sister got her irresponsible hands on those photo albums and I have no idea what happened to them. She might still have them, but we haven't spoken during the last 20 years or so, so...1935....Photo postcard. Cigars, Overcoats and hats.......Oh My.......AND they dated it, with each man signing the card....not too often one finds that!!!!!

His hat sort of reminds me of a WAR BRE with the crown really lowered.Conrad Kohrs (1835 - 1920) on right
I like the Montana Peak. His hat sort of reminds me of a WAR BRE with the crown really lowered.
Sir Connery sure made posing for photos like this look easy, didn't he? But then, in his younger years he was an artist's model for the Edinburgh College of Art, so I suppose it should come as no surprise.View attachment 430697
Do pay attention double 'o' seven, I shall be asking questions later.
This is a very emotionally provoking image, and says a lot about the ability of this country to heal itself. On June 25, 1913 Civil War veterans began arriving in Gettysburg, PA. for the "Great Reunion" marking the 50th anniversary of the battle. The event officially lasted from June 29 - July 4 and over 50,000 old soldiers attended. Here former enemies clasp hands over a stone wall on Cemetery Ridge.

Good pic! By the late 1920’s Tom Mix had begun to wear smaller crowned hats than his previous style & the style caught on.
