If I am not mistaken, it is a palm beach, no? If so, you can match it up with any other palm beach pants, or at least in this particular palm beach color.
This is not a PB. It was a retail purchase. Did I fool any of the experts? ;)

You mean it's a modern jacket? Wow. Where'dja get it?
Yes sir. Purchased at a Ralph Lauren outlet.
Marked down from a ticketed price of somwhere around $300+ to a bargain price of 50 bucks. There was only one jacket of this style on the rack and it was my size.
I wear out a lot of shoeleather looking for bargains. :)

Now we need to see you in it, Feraud.
And I am chomping at the bit to wear it! Aside from needing to have the sleeves taken in a bit, all I need is some nice weather and I am going to wear it as much as possible. :)

Have you guys heard of Maestrelli by Nogara? I picked my boyfriend up a made in Italy modern sport coat in a nice pale green plaid (tasteful I swear). $7.99! Google hasn't yielded much.

Edit: here's an image

All I've been able to find out is that Nogara is apparently an area of Italy. Any help much appreciated (included pointing me to the proper thread if necessary).

That's shoe leather well worth the use, Feraud! What a jacket! I'm no expert, but I would have thought I have enough experience with vintage to confidently regard that jacket as not being new. Exceptional find!

Hi Paddy,

That Sports jacket is great. The shoulders are very well tailored. The cut of it reminds me of some mid 30s British Saville Row suit jackets I have. Do you have any deatails about it, ie, age and which American tailor made it.

Kindest Regards

Ben

WELL Ben...

The label says CALIFORNIA SPORTSWEAR and then THE BON MARCHE MEN'S SHOP. Plus the obigatory Union Label. It is very nicely tailored and seems to fit my frame pretty well - I'm just a lucky guy with this one. Age, I'd be saying around early 40's. Immaculate condition - it really is. Cheers Mateo for this little number. And thanks Ben for the comments.

Picked up this mid- to late 1950s sportscoat. Yachting or academic jacket? Nice high armholes and heavy wool serge. Single short vent in the back.

Can anyone identify the patch?

I just sold this sportscoat to a lucky ebay bidder. It is not pinned in anyway....that's the natural drape!

Those are just about the coolest R&R trous I've ever seen!

And speaking of houndstooth, I've recently acquired a couple of nice houndstooth jackets, courtesy of our local thrift shop.

This one is cashmere. The colors don't show up well in the photos, but it's burgundy, dark green and cream.

These are my first houndstooth jackets and I'm having a bit of a problem trying to figure out what sort of tie to wear with them. Because the pattern of the houndstooth is pretty busy, anything other that solid colors doesn't seem to work. Is it just me, or am I limited to solid colors?

That's an interesting jacket. I think the low lapel notches hint it's from the 1980's.
