Has anybody here used Mr. Natty's Shave Oil?

Do you use it as a pre treatment or to shave with?

Cheers!

Hi everyone....just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rich, I'm 53 years old & a Master Sgt. in the NY Army National Guard. I've always been interested in the '30's & '40's since i was a kid. I found this forum a while ago by chance and decided to join. I chose this thread to start off with because i'm interested in the art of a good shave. You guys seem to be well versed. I started with a bowl and brush a little over a year ago...currently i'm using Williams soap in a vintage German mug and a plain 3 blade disposable razor. Obviously i'm at the low end of the scale compared to everyone here but maybe you guys could help educate me to the in's and out's of this fine art. I'm all ears......Thanks and its a pleasure to meet everyone........best, rich

Welcome Rich, you will need a good double edge razor and blades. I would recommend getting a sampler pack of blades and keep a record as to how you like each blade. I have found Bullgoose shaving to be a good man to deal with There is also a forum stricly for wet shaveing: Badger and Blade. I would suggest chceking them out. Enjoy your new experience!! I look forward to starting each day off with a nice shave.
