Recieved a couple of hats today.

Two hats came in today. I love when that happens. The Borsalino is good. It is very soft, almost crushable. Unless there is some amazing hat out there this is the last of this type I will go for. I don't think it is very old but in a way that's good, as I now have one that I can wear while keeping the older and better condition one for special dates.

As you can see this one could do well with a reblocking. This also has the corrugated feature.

Now this one is REALLY nice. This is the Open Road that I thought might not be. IT is and like the Borsalino I dont think it is too old but wow it is very cool I broke my own rule about not bashing perfect out of the box open crowned hats and put a C-bash into it. It just yelled out for it, so if any one does not like this application you can blame me. I think it looks pretty damn good. Again, this is the sleeper and will be out for only those events that require shock and awe. Please let me know how you feel about the crown bash.

I am very pleased with this one and although I don't think it is as good as the last OR ,this one.

Did you try a diamond bash on that one?
The "C" looks a bit thin in the back. I prefer
a less even bash, maybe four points instead of
an even C. Scroll down this page and have a

It's a thicker felt, so your mileage may vary.

Never thought I'd say it, that bash even beats the "Pyramid Crimp" of my previous hat obession. This place changes a guy. I'm really in to those organic bashes, not the wood block vacuum form jobs that new stuff gets cranked out with. Best choice for that hat, heads down!

I chose this bash because My Borsalino has the four points and I don't really have any clean Cs. I do agree though the rear looks a bit thin. I was suprized how easily it went into that position. I will work on the pinch a bit before I give up on the style.
