She's cut them as jacket sleeves (i.e. 2 panels) but attached them as if they were shirt sleeves (i.e. 1 panel), with the "inseam" lined up with the side seam of the body instead of rotated in the scye to ensure the rear arm seam doesn't show like it does here. Had she cut them like shirt sleeves the seam placement would have been correct.

Whichever hole they're attached to, if the "inseam" aligns with the body side seam that rear seam attaches quite high on the shoulder or chest region of the scye … very unsightly from front view or rear.

Water perhaps. It might be part of a hydro electric generation plant. The track running down the middle is probably for a funicular railway and they were very often water powered too.

There aren't many photos of 1930s-1950s German motorcyclists out there, has anyone seen any?

It's the Rudolf Fettweis Hydroelectrical plant in the Northern Blackforrest built 1914 to 1918.
The bridge is one of six bridges connected to ways/streets that lead over the pipes and through the forrest.

I remember seeing the picture in the cinema at the time. It made a big impression on me at that young age with the heroic test pilot Jack Hawkins struggling with the problem with the plane where he can't land it. I can't remember what the problem was but I do remember the aeroplane which was a Bristol Freighter.

Never seen it since and never seen it listed on TV.

Another mid-40s British utility leather jacket. The seller told me his father bought it in the middle 1940s. Strange use of Air Ministry Dot zip in a civilian jacket. Heavy sheepskin lined with heavy cotton flannel; good stretch remains in the elastic waistband. More.

Hello,
I'm not quite sure just what this 3-piece ensemble would have been used for and am hoping for some help. The set consists of a cape (not jacket as it may appear in the photo), vest, and 3/4 length pants. The shaping of the vest definitely indicates it's for a woman. The pants would be long enough to go past the knee but not full-length. No labels of any kind. And sorry, it may not be pre-50s and therefore may not belong in this thread? It's in such great condition that I don't know if it's old or just made in the traditional fashion. Thanks for any help, and please let me know if I can offer any other info or photos.

Are there any markings or indication of origin apart from the German made zips?

At first look, I'd guess 1950s or more likely 1960s.
