Old Cork Spacer that was behind the sweatband. Never seen one this wide before.

Phillip Neubauer Berlin - Charlottenburg, no paper label, 132 grams, probably 1930s. Similar sweatband to a J. Heinr. JTA Wien (date stamped 1939) made for Phillip Neubauer Berlin but that could be store specific.

"Wiener Mode", measures 54cm, no company mark, probably late 1940s early 1950s.

Förster "Saturn Pat.", 58cm, Wool, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches, probably later 1930s. I believe this one was made by Max Förster Hat Factory Altenburg (Thuringia) so a first for me (as far as I know). The felt is stiff but works well with this type of form and has a very nice color + finish. Also an interesting sweatband finish effect.

Black Hat, measures 58cm, Crown Open 6 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches, 84 grams probably later 1930s. This is the fourth hat from my recent find. It doesn't have any labels or company marks. Not sure if it's Wool or Fur Felt (or blend). The felt is extremely light in weight with a very soft hand. It also has a very nice distressed leather sweatband which has buckled. The construction is primitive but the results are not.

J.Hückel´s Söhne "Flexible", 58cm, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim with Curl 2 1/4 inches, probably 1930s maybe late 1920s. The felt is very light weight and very pliable felt (easily dry crease). The dressing (off-white wide sweatband, gilded liner logo, and barbed hat cord ) of the hat is really fantastic.

Brüder Böhm, 58cm Point 5 1/2, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches probably 1930s. Fantastic Hot Wet Brushed Black Velour - Soleil that is very pliable and absorbs all light. The company paper label with model, form and color information is missing.

Stefan Esders "Velour", 59cm, Crown Open 6 inches, Brim 2 3/4 inches probably later 1930s early 1940s. It was made for the famous Vienna department store Stefan Esders but no company mark on the paper label. It was most likely made by one of the Vienna hat companies. The felt is a fantastic darkish Gray Velour.

C. G. Wilke, Brim Over Welt 2 1/2 inches , Crown Open 6 inches, paper label missing, measures 57cm, probably 1920s. I don't see any sign of a tip patch so might have had a liner. The Velour is really fantastic but it has some nicks.

Berlin Gubener Hutfabrik "Turf", Weather - Proof, Crown Open 5 1/2, Brim 2 1/2 inches, 55cm probably later 1930s. I have been looking for a B.G.H. hat for a long time. Berlin Gubener Hutfabrik was the largest hat factory (Wool and Fur Felt divisions) in Germany but didn't survive WWII. I think they must have sold mostly non branded hats to distributors, whole sellers and large retail establishments. The mixed color felt on this hat is really extraordinary. Also great form and interesting Bow and Over Welt This is now one of my favorite hats even though I can't wear it. What is interesting is this hat was distributed by Friedrich W. Schneider Köln (still in business today and own Stetson Europe) for Jung Augsburg (also still in business today).

Hutproduktiv (Wien) "Standard", 59cm, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 3 inches probably later 1930s. The felt is fantastic and easily dry creases.

Gärner Hüte Wien "Record" Manufactured by J. Heinr. Ita Wien, 59cm, Real Fur Felt probably 1930s or 1940s. I assume Gärner Hüte Wien is the same as Gärner Wien who also made their own hats. I have an earlier Gärner Wien Wool Stiff Felt. The paper label has a "U.F." which doesn't point to J. Heinr. Ita Wien so could be a Gärner Hüte Wien label. I couldn't find any company that matches those initials. The "F" could be Fabrik (Factory) but no guess yet regarding the "U". I really like form of this one and also the ribbon with + bow design.

PH. Möckel Hutfabrik, Homburg vor der Höhe, Hoflieferant Sr. Maj. d. Kaisers u. Königs (Austria) und Sr. Maj. d. Königs v. England, measures about 59cm, 130 grams, probably pre WWI. In very good condition except for slight damage to the sweatband. Also rare stitched liner (only seen this once before) on a stiff felt hat. PH. Möckel Hutfabrik (1806) made the original Homburg style hat for King Edward the VII of England.

"Negretti" "Adonis" probably early 1900s. Made of Negretti Wool.

G. M. probably late 1800s. Could be Georg Miech Haydnstrs. 37 Dresden. King Albert of Saxony (1873-1902) on the liner medallion.

This appears to be the original packing paper.

Carl Zeumer Magazin Zum PFAU Kreissäge, measures ~ 59cm. I am not sure who made it (afraid to disturb the sweat) but I like the rustic look of the weave and the bow design / execution. Probably pre WWII.

Carl Zeumer Magazin Zum PFAU, Pfau-Hut, size 58cm, 156 grams, probably 1920s. It could be a Fur - Wool blend. It wears very soft + light and is in very good condition. Not sure what company made it for Carl Zeumer Magazin Zum PFAU. There is a paper label on the backside of the sweatband but not worth taking a chance of damaging the sweatband to check.
