Christy's London, UK Size 7, date stamped 15. Jan. 1936. It was sold by Philipp Neubauer, Unter den Linden, Berlin, 24. (this location didn't survive WWII).
P. & C. Habig Wien - Berlin "Special Qualität" with "Auto Cape", size 58cm, very good condition, 208 grams, probably mid 1930s.
P. & C. Habig "Habig Hüte" Friedrichstrasse 82. Berlin
I was able to find the Austrian Patent (133275) stamped on the sweatband of the P. & C. Habig Wien - Berlin Melone with the felt insert that P. & C. Habig Wien called "Auto Cape". The patent claim is to make a stiff felt hat that is resistant to denting and the felt insert being a part of the invention. This is pretty interesting so probably worth taking a look at.
Drawing from the French Patent(756192A).
This is the Austrian Patent(133275) from 1932 and an addendum from 1936.
A. Tsoard Marseille "Premiere Marque Paris", size 59cm Point 6, near mint condition, probably 1930s. French maker but no company mark. This is from a Czech source.
Janyška "The BilCal Hat", size 56cm, probably 1930s. What is interesting is BilCal is Bill & Caldwell who were one of the early 20th Century American importers (there weren't many) of foreign hats (including Borsalino).
Bill & Caldwell "Importers of Stiff, Soft and Straw Hats" (from an Borsalino advertisement in The American Hatter March, 1922)
F.N., size 59cm but measures 60cm, NOS Condition, probably 1930s. This a really fantastic larger size hat. I will have to see if I can find the hat company based on the initials but probably of Czech/German origin.
