1930s Westminster with frayed bow end and unusual "ridges" on either side of the crown.

This one was probably new old stock before I got it and accidentally scuffed the brim binding.

Private label dress hat for Rogers Peet Company

Very nice quality felt and materials in this hat which likely dates from the 1930s - perhaps a little earlier. The Boston store of this NYC company dates back at least to 1925. It needs to be spruced up with brushing and steam. Very flat brim flange. No indication of manufacturer - no union label - no price that I can read on the RPC price label. Apologies for the mirror reversed photo. 5 3/4" crown, 2 1/4" brim.

M.W.B. (could be Max Wiese Herrenhüte G.m.b.H, Berlin) Stolzf. Luxury Velour, Stone Gray, measures 58cm, 2 3/8 inch brim, 5 1/2 inch open crown, very good condition, probably 1930s.

The building (Derfflingerpalais) was destroyed in 1944 and demolished in 1959.

Das Derfflinger-Haus am Köllnischen Fischmarkt machte der Große Kurfürst seinern erfolgreichen Feldherren zum Geschenk. Das 1567 erbaute zweistöckige Haus baute Nering dem Generalfeldmarschall zu einem dreistöckigen Palais um, das vor der Jahrhundertwende das Bekleidungshaus Leineweber übernahm, Das Haus wurde 1944 zerstört und 1959 abgetragen.
