My wife is shockingly tolerant of my new hobby. She must think they look good on me or at least ok She will raise an eyebrow or maybe give me a little frown if she thinks my purchases are getting out of hand, but I do have a new Stetson Lamont headed my way soon so we will see how that looks.

Not bad. Spectacularly great! My wife has a firm grasp of our finances and is usually the only one at home when deliveries come through.
I’m wracking my brain trying to think how I can emulate this…delivery to my workplace? I could do that. Finances? Trickier. I also suspect she’d notice the new hat.

Thank you, sir! My wife is also usually the only one home for deliveries. I was lucky on the timing for this one. Right now, the expense isn’t as big an issue as “is that ANOTHER hat?” She really doesn’t mind, though (I think).

I sell a lot of hats too. Hats come in and hats go out. I still spend a lot more than I make from sells, but the fact that at least some are going out makes it at least look like I’m not the hat hoarder I’ve become. My wife isn’t a fan of hats in literally every room, but she’s supportive of the hobby. It’s not motorcycles or something really expensive.

I’ll sell one here and there, but not enough for a diversion. That “hats in literally every room” is the thing!

Can I add that no piece of felt is worth marital strife. I really enjoy my hats, but in the final analysis they don’t mean a darn thing.

This Stetson 4X Beaver was a recent eBay find. I’m thinking late 1970s, but I’d only be a little surprised if it was even more recent than that. 4” bound brim and a 6 7/8” open crown! Bowen’s suggestion if a Gus sounds good with this much crown to play with.

This hat has a leather sweatband that is very similar to others of this vintage I’ve had. It feels almost like suede or nubuck, but in the past they left pieces of their finish on my forehead and in my hair. So far this hasn’t happened with the hat, but I’m being watchful.

BTW, beautiful countryside behind that hat in your previous post! Looks like a fire cleared the chaparral not too long ago, but still an excellent choice for photos.

Those photos were taken on an acquaintance’s ranch. It’s part of an old Spanish land grant of several thousand acres. I generally like higher elevation country, but this ranch is both beautiful and very close. This ranch is also infested with wild hogs and I’ve been a breath away from getting permission to hunt it for the last few years. The ranchers hate the pigs, but they are scared to let people on their land due to liability issues. I’m determined to wear him down.

Have your lawyer draw up a release form and give it to him. Wild hog is actually pretty good eating. The damn things can get pretty big, 5 or 6 hundred pounds and can be dangerous. A true wild hog, Javelina, are damn dangerous but that's probably not what you're talking about.
