Echter Rockel "Haar", 58 cm, possibly early to mid 1950s. The Felt color is Dark Blue and the Felt has a very nice hand plus easily dry creases. The the Sweatband is a matching Dark Blue.

Great friends and great hats. Can't get much better than that!

I have several hats that are special to me. I have custom hats that turned out perfect, I have vintage hats that I saw steered in to, and I have hats that I’ve rescued and put back into wearable condition. This hat my most special of them all. It’s my oldest hat. It has the best hand and general felt qualities of any of my hats. It’s in fantastic condition and fits perfectly. However, what makes it the most special to me is that it was a gift from Daniel @Just Daniel He didn’t even ask me to cover shipping. It’s not his size, but even then I know how hard it is to part with something so rare and so beautiful. I’ve never met Daniel and quite possibly never will, but he’s one of the several good friends I’ve made here on TFL. I’m humbled and amazed to be the recipient of such generosity and kindness.

John B. Stetson Extra Light Weight complete with the 1900 Grand Prize exposition medals on the liner and on the sweatband. Sold by the Klafter Hat Co. In Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The open crown is just shy of six inches and the raw edge brim is 2 1/2 inches wide.

I received the Brummel's lords hat (i think it is). It's a good quality felt. I really like the dark brown color. The seller sold it as a size 57, but i think it's a (small) 58. I have to stretch it a littlebit with steam and then it will fit me. I really don't understand why people sell this for 9 euro. Is there anyone who can date this hat?

Nice Brummel's Lord's hat catch, Marcel. What a price! Hard to date. The style was popular in the 30s and made a come back in the 50s. Yours is similar to an English one I have from 1953, so I'd place yours in the 1950s, too. I could be wrong though.
Stefan will more than likely have a better handle on it.

New for me and already announced:
(Thanks to Panos for his understanding ;))

Light brown-gold "ERKO" Velour (Ernst Kohlndorfer, Miesbach) - probably late 20s (I think)
The velour is wonderfully soft and in my opinion comes close to some Hückel qualities.
According to the paper label a 57 (cm), but fits more like a 58 (and thus just enough for me).
Height open crown 16 cm; central dent at a luxurious 12.5 cm; width of brim at 6 cm
Note the beautiful Art Deko logo as well as the handwritten price.
Sold in Bautzen (Saxony) by "A. Fleyel Nachf.[ahren]"

I really like the lord’s hat, Marcel. It just seems to be easier to dress down than a homburg. Deal of the month at 9 euro!

You should be, Marcel. Those Brummel's are great hats. I find people sell hats from inheritances or clean outs because they have no use for them and don't want to bother looking them up. Fine by me; I'll buy hats like this for 9 euro all day long.
I don't think Brummel's survived the mid-sixties onslaught among hatters very long. Both the style and the cloth crown patch indeed point towards the fifties for this one. Very nice! I love the curl of the brim. You should post it in the Beneluxury thread as well.
