The elephants foot looks like painted ceramic. I've seen real ones made into a spittoon with a Sterling silver lid. You step on a peddle to open the lid to spit.

This hat was cleaned up, reblocked, had a new sweatband installed, and generally given a new lease in life by Wolfbrae @belfastboy

This is the last of my recent 6-pack of hats from Wolfbrae. The skill and talent of @belfastboy is impressive! Thank you, Robert! The best endorsement I can give him is that I have another five hats either under construction or in transit to him. The international shipping is a bit of a pain (customs form) and the shipping isn’t cheap, but in balance this is one of the best deals going!

Ha,ha,ha ... if it had been too big I would have made it work. I think they are both 7-1/8. The blocking sticker on the grey one is blank in the size section.

Another alpine/tyrolean hat... this one a Resistol with a rich fuzzy brown felt. A fair amount of moth nibs under the brim and a couple on the crown. But nothing too bad.... and besides the real star of this one is it’s super cool sixties liner!
