Third and last of my finds today.
This one is the heartbreaker. Not just because it is amazing, but also because it is a couple of sizes too small.
Dunlap Fifteen.

Sweat stamps:

Didn't see any tags under the sweat. Here's the weave.

And illuminated:

Other than the wonky brim and a sweatband seam that has come untaped, I see no damage. Crown 4 1/4" side, 4 1/2" front. Brim just shy of 3". 88g.
I can't find my sewing tape to get a circumference, but the head opening is 7 5/8" by 6 3/8", guessing a 7. As that will never fit I'm most likely going to put it up for trade.
If the gold-free debossment on the sweat means the same as it does on a Dobbs (both HCA products) then I'd say 40's.
As always, input welcomed.

Great catches! Ecuadorian Panama Hat Co. (Supernatural) seems to have been a popular brand for many years. They were nice quality and show up not infrequently on the vintage market. I've owned several - a Panama and a leghorn weave remain in my summer hat collection. I love the Dunlap Fifteen. Hard to date but from the price point and sweatband + reed, I would guess 1950s. Handsome hat.

Didn't see any tags under the sweat, but I did see what looked like a penciled 7 1/8 on the hat body. Going to try to give it a sizing up.
Crown 4", brim 2 3/8". 86g. Guessing 50's.

Congrats. The Ecuadorian Panama Hat Co. (Supernatural) straws are excellent quality. The leather sweats have held up well on mine.

So I made a hat for Jarrod Dickenson, this is a rabbit Fur Felt in Alabaster which was blocked on a 6 inch open crown block with a 3 inch brim. I used a 15mm cotton and rayon ribbon from the 1930's which just stood out on this hat. dropped it off last night at one of his gigs and lets just say he is a very happy Texan.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Alpha - Seal Velour", French Point 4 probably mid 1930s. The black Velour felt (very difficult to photograph, absorbs light) is really fantastic (perfect condition) with a beautiful Alpha quality Seal Velour finish. This hat came from the same seller as the J.Hückel´s Söhne "Paltin" and most likely belonged to the same original owner. It also came with an original Hückel box.

The following photographed really shows the quality of the Alpha quality Seal Velour (close sheared with high gloss).

I like them all, but the Supernatural is one maker that I've wanted to experience in person for a while now. Probably after seeing yours...
The Dunlap is something special. My heart sank when I realized how small it is.
Just glad I found them and that they didn't end up as some kid's Halloween costume!

Perhaps Art could convert a smaller crown to a duplex, though I'm sure you would be sad to take apart a fine hat in such nice condition. It should have good resale value in the right season, I think.

Just remembered what the Dunlap reminds me of...
Recently watched "Some Like It Hot" on PBS, and the scene where Jack and Tony first arrive in Florida there is a horny old rich guy wearing a big wide brim Panama with a deep cupped flange. He was wearing it with the back brim snapped down, and the front still up (1959 movie, set in 1929 if that explains that quirky look). I remember it mostly for the way he wore the brim. And because I wanted that hat.

Perhaps Art could convert a smaller crown to a duplex, though I'm sure you would be sad to take apart a fine hat in such nice condition. It should have good resale value in the right season, I think.

Oh, far too nice a hat to do that with, although I briefly considered dissassembling, reblocking and putting in a new sweat. Very briefly.
Perhaps someone with a smaller size head has something equally awesome in a 7 1/4 to 3/8...

This little Stevens Panama went around once on Goodwill.com with no takers, and was about to do it again when I threw out a last hour minimum bid. Nobody else saw any potential in it. It arrived Tuesday, but got lost in the shuffle of my Wednesday finds.
The sweatband probably won't last. I Lexoled it, but it was pretty dry. It limbered up a bit, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high.

Inside

The factory crease was put in way off center. The sweatband seam was almost an inch off kilter from the point of the crease, so I reblocked it, straightened it out and recreased it. That was the after pic, didn't take before pics because I wasn't sure if the sweat would take the abuse.
I found no factory tags under the sweat, but didn't dig too deep.
Decent weave:

Not a back-woven edge, but a nice underwelt.

Illuminated. I love these shots...

And a head shot

It's still a little lumpy, but with character! Worth replacing the sweat when it gives out. Crown 4 3/4" as creased, brim 2 1/4". 77g. I'm guessing it is early 60's, as always any opinions welcome.
