it's the early Marathon logo ... I don't think it was used past the very early 50s ... could be wrong but that is what I have gathered in my studies

his looks to be 40s .. possibly even late 30s ...

I'd love to see the debossments on the sweat when you get a sec @Samuel

Had to pamper the sweatband for 2 weeks night and morning with lexol, then one more week every night to save it.

Just a perfect hat...love it.

No way to know for sure
But the old style tip logo and the pleated liner suggest to me that it is earlier than 50s

I was hoping there was a Marathon debossment on the sweat ...

It's a Beaver Brand homburg in a medium brown color. I wasn't sure how I'd look in a homburg, but I like it.

It came without the side dents, but I like side dents, so now it has side dents.

It's a brown homburg; what's not to like? Looks great on you.

Open crown at something around or over 6 1/4", 3 3/8" brim, 151 grams. Closer to dress weight felt than western weight I think. Came with this bash in it.

Yessir Bob. I prefer to think it's perseverance rather than luck. But the hook is set again this year so I'll probably be forced to go there once or twice a day until the holiday. Ha ha. I was thinking of you when I found this one, but then I found the size tag on it after I got it home and it's still a size or two small for you.
