my new Bob Jessee hat

After sending bob photos, and bob browsing through vintage adds. Wanting a hat that would fit within 1860's to 1890's. I gave Bob at Blacksheep hatworks full reign on design and to make me something one of a kind. Its a 3 in a half inch brim, with about half an inch flat iron pencil roll (keeping it traditional), a vintage 2 inch yellow ribbon with frayed ends. Long hair mossy green western beaver felt. Side dents and center dent. As well as hand pressed copper leaves instead of feathers. When i picked up the Copperpot, Bob showed me these leaves made by an artist their in seattle, and i told him one day those will go in my hat.
These photos are from my final view, it is being shipped out to me this week, the liner may be paisley with flowers, but i'll show the inside with new photos when i get it in person.
Bob did a fantastic job, and need i say more, here's the photos.

K. & R. Lembert Kristall Velour, mint condition, probably early 1950s. Very beautiful / high quality black Velour that reminds me of JHS Sigma finish. Unfotunately listed as 58cm but more like 55cm. Still it's the oldest K. & R. Lembert soft felt I have encountered. More details in the German - Austrian thread.

Ale - that's a great hat, I know you've been searching for one of those. Nice job!

Just brilliant, Jacob. I think this one challenges your Copperpot in the creativity stakes.

Steve - what a beautiful velour. The felt looks so luxurious and the hat looks as though it just left the hatter's shop.

mayser, really love the color, looks really soft. Definately like the shape.

DJH-you better believe it, they are battling right now on which is my favorite. Id have to say their individually different and creative lids and i love them. I got off the phone with Bob, he's still trying to name it, but the liner is a paisley with red and hints of green.

Ale, beautiful lid, really like the color. Glad you finally found it.

Looks like a hat that actually came out of the 1800s... very stylish!

Excellent! The brim curl on that is so tight that you can mistake it for true vintage. Bob is a great craftsman.
it looks like something you see Bat Masterson wearing in old photos. He was partial to the bowler style of the time with a wide brim curled like that.

Jacob, that is insanely awesome, and the curl is absolute perfection. I gotta say Bob's and Mike Moore's brim curls are some of the best I've ever seen.

New Hat

This hat is "new" to me only because I finally got it away from my brother, who had it stuffed away in a closet.

It's my dad's best Dobbs, of the several hats he owned. He wore a hat all his working life, and never left the house in retirement without one. I don't know it's exact age, but he retired in 1972 and I can't believe this hat is younger than that.

I don't know much about Dobb's models, so if anyone has any comments about it, they would be appreciated...other than "It's dusty". ;-)

This hat is my latest acquisition from bond at the Lounge here. It's a beautiful slate-blue Bond Imperial Ten, total Whippet style:

Jacob, that is a killer hat, reminds me on old Western movies! Geat hat!

Lonnie, very nice Dobbs, I like the feather, looks good!

Aaron, sharp hat, looks very good on you!

Robert, very nice, I guess it's a hat for a woman! What is it for a nice cap behind the Borsalino?

Steve, the Lembert is a real beauty! What a pity with the size!

Congrats Gentlemen to the nice new hats!
