After a Battle of the Brushes & fired up the Jiffy 3000 steamer & some massage to the felt

Ill try to work the taper out of it, But she's ready to wear now
I have been looking sooooo long for a Brown Stratoliner, Ive only seen Alan's Older version (a holy grail hat Alan has)in brown
any guess at age of this ? open crown at 5 3/8'' brim just under 2 1/2''
must be one of the late ones due to the slighter smaller specs i have a grey one stands taller straighter & wider

Been a while since I could post here but picked up my new Black Sheep Hat Works today. Long haired rabbit with pencil brim curl and a bit of attitude:

The liner is mesmerizing and I could stare at it for hours........

Note the wind trolley button has a gill too!

Thanks! Yes, I don't think the boater was ever worn, it is just very old and a tad dried out...I may have to assess whether it needs a new sweatband. The ribbon color coincides with the colors of the interior company logo (blue and red).

My “new” Stetson Fifteen 3X western I was able to pick-up yesterday at an antique shop (sorry for the poor camera phone picture - only camera I have with me right now). Appears unworn and the box is likely original to the hat. Liner is embroidered with protector over the “Last Drop” logo. I am guessing late ‘40s to early ‘50s? Although the sweat reads “Joseph’s Man’s Shop” all articles about the store indicate it was correctly “Men’s Shop” – a business “famous for selling Stetson,” in operation in Austin from 1890-1999.

TONAK Lutra, size 7 3/8, probably very early 1950s. Lutra is European Otter so an unusual fur type and finish. Unfortunately some nicks and minor moth + stain issues but didn't pay much for it. I think it has a nice look brim up. Same seller as the TONAK Zephyr Seal Velour.

Thanks Che, can't wait to see yours. I wore the longhair all day Sat and it was comfy on a rare sunny day here. Of course nice here is mid 50s!

Robert, echo Manfreds comments, that 3X is in fantastic condition.

Steve, always enjoy seeing your German finds. Great color but I'd have to say Lutra look too cute to be hats. I suppose they are farm raised.
