Here is the Royal Scot I bought from Not-Bogart. I love this hat. It originally came from Technonut and he is the source of two of my most favorite hats - this and my Royal De Luxe in my avatar pic. Thanks again NB!

The next shot better depicts the brown color...

This one is a 7 1/2 but a small one and it fits like a glove.

Wow

Black velour, measures 59cm, crown 5 inches creased, brim 2 1/8 inch. The ribbon is from Optimo. Slick, shiny, very pliable old style velour.

Steve, you ARE the Velour KING. The quality of that hat is just amazing. Its proportions are just perfect in my opinion. Its the quintessential late 20's, early 30's styling with the shorter 2 1/8 inch brim, and the creased 5 inch crown. If I had a hat museum, that would be displayed when people walked in. AWESOME. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

I just got this VS Jazzman in the mail. I bought it BIN on ebay - I know, I'm having a VS built for me but I just couldn't wait when I saw this go up in my size. I figured I could keep it in the FL family...

:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap. I LOVE that hat Rodkins. Its color and proportions remind me of a 1920's Stetson I used to own. With the tall center dent crown and short brim, it looked quite a bit like James Cagney's hat from his early 1930's movies. Its that brim 2 inches? How tall was the crown before the teardrop/c-crown bash? :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

I'm going to leave it like this for a bit.

Wow that reminds me of this hat my grandpa is wearing in this picture, about 1938. The little girl is my mom.

Josh, Thanks! The center crease is very deep. Open crown it is close to 6 inches. The felt on this one is fantastic especially when you have it in hand.

Ernst Köln

Light brown with Antelope finish. Size 60cm, brim 2 5/8 inches, 5 inch crown creased. This one has a really nice finish and is in NOS condition. Ernst Köln was a men's store in Köln so not sure of the maker.

Viktor : I cannot be much help on the date other than to say that Gus Miller, the current proprietor, does not use that stamp on in sweatbands. Not much help, but it is a start.

Gus is still the proprietor, and from personal experience I can say it is pre 1989, but that doesn't help much...

Beautiful Adam!

that is a great example of '30's styling!

Mr. Hyde? is that you?

Bought today £10 from thrift store.

I just acquired these two hats this afternoon at a local vintage shop.

1. NOS Biltmore Royal (60's).
2. Resistol, looks similar to a Regent, maybe someone can confirm the style (40's).

Try calling and talking to Gus Miller yourself. He may know the answer. (513)- 721-9345
