I just acquired these two hats this afternoon at a local vintage shop.

1. NOS Biltmore Royal (60's).
2. Resistol, looks similar to a Regent, maybe someone can confirm the style (40's).

Early 40's? Light and limp basic felt. Lots of wear everywhere. Resistol's Stratoliner I suppose. More in the Resistol Roundup.

Viktor : I cannot be much help on the date other than to say that Gus Miller, the current proprietor, does not use that stamp on in sweatbands. Not much help, but it is a start.

I agree with 150, that Resistol could double for a Whippet. Great finds!:D
I was thinking exactly the same when I saw that. Great catch!

RLK, your new "Strat-like" Resistol is a fine piece too, really a nice one.

Another lovely gem recently added to my collection, you've probably seen this one before, thanks Rodkins.

And another that seems very "Whippet-ish". Another great catch!

Thanks and you are welcome! I have its fraternal twin in 7 3/8. I wouldn't have been able to let it go if I hadn't found one that fits me first.

Hans Baumgärtner Velour

Black velour, measures 59cm, crown 5 inches creased, brim 2 1/8 inch. The ribbon is from Optimo. Slick, shiny, very pliable old style velour.

I just got this VS Jazzman in the mail. I bought it BIN on ebay - I know, I'm having a VS built for me but I just couldn't wait when I saw this go up in my size. I figured I could keep it in the FL family...

The colors are beautiful. It's a little furry.

It came open crown. I first put the "original" center dent back in it. It seemed too tall and overwhelmed me, so I tried a different bash.

I'm going to leave it like this for a bit.

Here is the Royal Scot I bought from Not-Bogart. I love this hat. It originally came from Technonut and he is the source of two of my most favorite hats - this and my Royal De Luxe in my avatar pic. Thanks again NB!

The next shot better depicts the brown color...

This one is a 7 1/2 but a small one and it fits like a glove.
