A. Maingot Melone, Hat Case, Accessories

Never heard of A. Maingot. U.K. Size 7 1/4 but made in France. The hat case is really nice. Have no idea about the glasses, bow tie and gloves but they look pretty old.

Beautiful Set!! Great Case and Hat. I like to use a Pince-Nez myself for reading. I'll guess first decade of 20th Century.

Like I said in the eBay thread, I was oddly fascinated by this hat. I knew it was junky, but couldn't pass it up. [huh]

P.S The hilarious part of the whole thing is the seller put a STINKING dryer sheet inside the hat and I can't even keep the box or hat in the house. It's giving the whole household sinus headaches!

As to the color. I believe it is a light gray with a slight blue tinge to it. But, it is one of those chameleon hats that seems to be a different color in every photo. I think these two photos are fairly accurate:

For this photo, my camera over saturated the blue in the Whippet. I had to take some of it away. Here is the original:

I'll take some more photos without flash fill when I can get some decent lighting if anyone is interested.
