Nice coloring BrentStenton Hats New York. I was able to find very little on this maker. It’s a great charcoal grey with blue tones. The blue ribbon and binging bring out the blues in the felt. The sweatband has a in-reeded. The open crown is 5 ½” and the bound brim is 2 ⅝” wide. The felt is very nice and molds easily dry on a fence post. It’s more like 1940s 3X than Royal DeLuxe if that helps. Size is 7 ⅛ US or 57cm.

Thanks, Sincity! On a great hat like this repairs are more like deserved reparations. You did a wonderful job in restoring/revitalizing that hat.
Wonderful find, Stefan!Peschel Biber in a natural colour. Size 56 with the overwelt brim at 6cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. Chamois finish and a really nice ribbon treatment. It's a felt ribbon bound with a grosgrain ribbon on either side (probably runs around the felt ribbon on the inside). The felt is great as always with Peschel. Only a small tear in the sweatband keeps it from perfection. Fairly lightweight at 99 grams.
Thank you, Steve. I always keep an eye out for Peschel, but they don't come around that often.Wonderful find, Stefan!
Indeed they don't. Snap them up as soon as they do, I say.Thank you, Steve. I always keep an eye out for Peschel, but they don't come around that often.
Gorgeous.Another neat find.
Valensy Light Superior fedora in a nice deep brown. Size 56 with the bound brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 10cm at the front. It is light, but not that light at 110 grams. The felt is very thin though and has a great hand. I don't see Valensy hats that often, so it was worth a try. Looking for the label under the sweatband though I heard the heartsinking sound of stitches popping. Dang! Still perfectly wearable, but a rescue mission is scheduled nonetheless. Maybe I can make out the colour name once I get the sweatband out.

Thanks, David. The shape and proportion do remind of the stratoliner. The manufacturer may have taken inspiration from that model.Gorgeous.
Great old Stetson homburg.
Great wide ribbon and back bow treatment, Brent. Here’s an odd little hat that was one of a group of ten I bought on speculation. It’s a mystery as the sweatband appears to be a replacement and there isn’t anything hiding behind it. This looks a lot like the melee felts Ottmar Reich did a lot of in the seventies. Hückel did them too, but those a more refined. A black homburg eh? Let me see if I have one of thoseAnother odd one. Love the heathered felt, but there also isn’t any labeling or printing on the hat. The sweatband is fabric and without branding.
