If memory serves me right, I think Kingson was one of those cover names for one of the Italian hat makers. Cervo or Vanzina I think.
I really don't know. I heard the brand name before, that's all. I contact Stefan and he told me it was the housebrand of J. Pul hatshop in Amsterdam in those days. He dated it half 50's till half 60's.

Finally got a chance to take some photos of the hats that have been sitting on my living room floor. Here's the first one.
Barbisio in black. Raw edge brim at 6,5cm and the fairly low crown at 9cm at the center dent. Very nice lightweight hat at 91 grams and the felt is very thin with a soft hand to it. The brim has a shallow flange to it and takes a downward swoop at the back. Sold to me as a size 55, but actually a size 57 (if I read what's left of the label right). Best 5 euro I spent in a while!

One I traded with Panos @PanosChris. The liner on this one is what won me over to be honest.
Borsalino fedora in amiata colour. Raw edge brim at 6cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. All the Borsalino quality we've come to expect from their vintage hats. Nice and lightweight qualitá extra extra superiore at only 96 grams. The liner is the icing on the cake here.

I'll pick up where I left off yesterday. Another one from the Oslo exchange. Thanks @PanosChris !
Courtney Royalten (or Royaltan) in silverbelly (not quite sure). Size 56 with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Very soft felt but not as tightly felted it seems. Reminds me of my Dalton in that way. Panos had it as a brim down regular fedora and it shows a pronounced curve if creased that way, even if the sweatband states it's a "controlled brim". I thought it was more comfortable with the brim up, a bit more camber-style. Love the colours on this one. Average weight at 118 grams.

Next one is a gift from @PanosChris as part of the last hat-exchange.
Dunn&Co velour trilby. Size 55, so small for me (as it was for Panos) with the raw edge brim at 4cm and the crown at 10,5cm at the center dent. The felt is wonderful with a nice soft hand and a bit of heathering going on. Now why did they decide to make this style hat out of that? The felt could have truly shone if it was a fedora or a homburg.

I'm not always lucky when I buy hats. I sort of reckon that most people when measuring hats get it wrong and give a size that is too small, like with the Barbisio I posted a few posts back. I was hoping for the same effect with this one, but this seller got it right. For the 8 euro I paid for it's still an interesting one to have.
Hückel Durit velour hat. Size 54 (seller was right all along) with the raw edge brim at 6cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the center dent. When I took it out of its packaging I still thought I got lucky, because it feels like a substantial hat, despite its small size. No label inside the hat. Somehow the Durit feels a bit less refined than Hückel's Jota, Alpha, Platin or Standard velours. That's all very relative though, because it is still a Hückel velour.

GB Borsalino fu Lazzaro western hat in the colour banana. Size 58 (but fits me perfectly) with the raw edge brim at almost 9cm and crown 11,5cm at the center dent. Not an original Fu lazzaro, but the more modern revival. This one dates from 1982. I have the feeling this one could have been made in Canada for Borsalino. Sturdy but not stiff and not as refined as the Borsalino dress hats, but very pleased to have this one.

That may be a Dalton of some variety. The "Controlled Brim" patent and that logo are a Dalton "technology."
