What are the odds. Thought I wouldn't see another one of these anytime soon when I found the first one, but what would you know?
FGM Bayerland "Solid" velour in black. Fedora in a size 56 with the raw edge brim at 7cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Great felt and a nice velour, just like the first one, but this one has a wonderful looking liner as a bonus. Same shark gill bow as the other one. Weighs 134 grams.

Absolutely beautiful. That’s a hat that could convert black hat haters.

More.
Excellent Stetson, made under license in Germany. Fedora in black, size 57 with the bound brim at 6cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Liner is missing alas. I think the label says "Skyway" as the name for the form.

Stefan, Missed this one. Sorry about the liner. It was made by Mayser under license.

Let's continue.
Found a few of this brand, but the others were too small to be of use to anyone. This one is certainly interesting.
Skoczow Tino fedora in brown. Made by Polkap, which used to be the Polish site for Hückel. Size 58 with the raw edge brim at 5cm and the crown at 12,5cm at the center dent. Quite a bit of rake to this hat front to back.
The most interesting bit is the way the felt was formed in a sort of spiral stitch. And the vertical shark gill bow is another unique feature. Finishing is a bit sloppy here and there (take a look at the sweatband bow for example), but still; where are you going to find another?

Stefan, That's a good one! :) I have come across some PolkaP Hats. Tonak also has similar formed / pressed Felt.

Another thanks to Matt @Mean Eyed Matt for this one.
French pre-war Bowler, or Melon as the French called them. The shape of this one explains why. Wonderful workmanship and solid feel to everything with this hat. The box is the icing on the cake 20210627_163259.jpg .

I wouldn't say I'm a hater, but I don't care for black hats, fuzzy hats, or black fuzzy hats. However, Steur's hat in post #47737 could definitely convert me if it were my size. I can't really say specifically why, but it ticks all the right boxes for me.

Lamson Hubbard Genuine Panama - The Colonel

Lamson Hubbard Genuine Panama - The Colonel
Tight fine weave
5 inch crown
Dimensional Brim 3 1/4 front - 3 inch sides

I had not heard of this brand Lamson Hubbard… but from the sellers photos it appeared to be a really fine weave. It has not disappointed in that regard. In person the weave is very tight and small appears almost like canvas. I find interesting that in photos the weaves do not look quite as tight as they do in person. I think I will compare the weave on this on and my Herbert Johnson Optimo. Between the liner tip and Not much sun today holding up to the sun would not provide much of an effect. The 3 1/4 by 3 inch brim seems to prefer an up brim…. But with some coaxing it will stay down sometimes. I really love the pug. Under the sweat and oilskin sweat liner revealed a made in Ecuador stamp.. some pencil notations and union tag. There is an area of discoloration on the back underside of the brim and I managed to dislodge the sweat bow and size tag while I was fiddling around. Will probably reattach. All and all…. Loving my new/old Colonel Panama.

Fantastic Panama hat, Joe. I think that with some brim shaping it would look incredible brim up. When you’re wearing it try not to think about what a current replacement hat would cost. ;)
