If have quite a few postings to go in this thread. Hats came in from all sides this week, but the big haul was yesterday when a large supplier of vintage clothing stores found its warehouses overflowing because of the lockdowns last year. What to do? Well, you organize a kilo-sale, which is exactly what they did. Buy clothing by the kilo at a fixed price. As their stores are where I get a lot of my hats I decided to go for it and see if the hats were also part of the deal. They were. Buying hats by the kilo was a new one for me. Appears about 8 hats go into a kilo (dress weight). Great fun, but it didn't improve my storage problems:D
I haven't photographed all of them and some need a bit of work yet, but let's begin anyway.

Wegener fedora in brown (with a greyish tone). Size 57,with the raw edge brim at 6,2cm and the crown at 10cm at the center dent. It's a modern Wegener, but I liked the shape and the two-tone ribbon a lot, so why not.

Tonak Gazela fedora in a wonderful chamois finish. Size 56 (but fits like a 57), with the raw edge brim at 6,5cm and the crown 10cm at the center dent. Lovely rustbrown colour on this one. Early Tonak product, but I can't tell exactly how early. The "Tyden" on the label is supposed to say something about the year it was produced, but "13" doesn't make sense to me. 13th month of production after JHS was nationalised? 13th year perhaps?
The Obchod odëvy y Praze on the sweatband means "clothing store in Prague", so likely produced after Tonak opened their own store in Prague.

Stefan, Super! I really like the color and finish. I posted more in the Tonak thread.

Wonderful rusty orange colour, Stefan.
Hats by the kilo? The mind boggles :)

Wilke velour in "Flieder", which means lilac. Well, it's not lilac now, so this one does need some work done. Wilke velour backbow in a size 6, but it seems to have shrunk three sizes over the decades, ebcause it fits me perfectly. Raw edge brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Couldn't find anything on the retailer Peter Groll of Köln am Rhein, whose name is both on the liner and on the sweatband. Likely twenties.

Here's a glimpse of what the original colour would have been. The hat is terribly dirty. What says the lounge: straight to naptha or water and soap first?

Thanks to Matt for sending this one my way.

G.A. Dunn & Co English Velour. The subtle green matches the exquiste soft feel of the felt.

Raw edge brim at 4.5cm. Crown 11.5cm at the center dent.

Always nice to add another petting hat, Steve. There seems to be some discolouring near the bow. Could it be the ribbon is a replacement?

Let's continue.
Found a few of this brand, but the others were too small to be of use to anyone. This one is certainly interesting.
Skoczow Tino fedora in brown. Made by Polkap, which used to be the Polish site for Hückel. Size 58 with the raw edge brim at 5cm and the crown at 12,5cm at the center dent. Quite a bit of rake to this hat front to back.
The most interesting bit is the way the felt was formed in a sort of spiral stitch. And the vertical shark gill bow is another unique feature. Finishing is a bit sloppy here and there (take a look at the sweatband bow for example), but still; where are you going to find another?

What are the odds. Thought I wouldn't see another one of these anytime soon when I found the first one, but what would you know?
FGM Bayerland "Solid" velour in black. Fedora in a size 56 with the raw edge brim at 7cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Great felt and a nice velour, just like the first one, but this one has a wonderful looking liner as a bonus. Same shark gill bow as the other one. Weighs 134 grams.
