Lagomarsino Brown homburg. Soft felt with minimal stiffeners. The finish is between suede and velour, and the hand is surprisingly nice. The hat fits slightly smaller than indicated, but just a bit of time with a band block installed and it will conform.

This is my second Lagomarsino homburg (my first was a black long hair finish) and I’d love to find more. These are great hats of decent quality with excellent sweatbands and solid construction.

Shame to loose the sweatband, particularly since the liner doesn’t identify it as a One-Hundred. The heartbreak of vintage hats.
Yes but Graham said he could make a die that says "Maclachlan Golden Beaver Hundred Restored by Graham Thompson" on the new Optimo sweatband.
That is something... and I still have the old sweatband.

Steven dress western.
This hat was made for the Midwest Governors Conference held in Wichita in 1969. This hat was made for West Virginia Governor Arch A. Moore, JR. it came complete with the original box. The hat appears to be unworn and there is not obvious damage. The sweatband is as supple as one can hope for from sweatbands of this era. The open crown is approximately 5 1/2 inches and the bound brim is 2 3/8 inches.

The crown is very soft and has few stiffeners...definitely a dress weight Royal De Luxe type felt rather than say a 3X. The brim is much firmer. I’m not sure what Stevens called the color, but it’s much lighter than any silverbelly I’ve seen. It also has a slight blue tint. I’ll work on steaming and brushing it over the next few days.

The hat was made for a very colorful character:

And it’s the most generous fitting 7 3/4 I’ve ever had on my head.
Awesome Stevens!!
I don’t really know how colorful you are, but I’d guess Caucasian.
Just got back from Texas with 31 hats. I had to leave 58 of them! Enough is enough. I am only buying true grail hats from now on.

Woweeee! Those all look awesome and the two light colored ones in the foreground look grailly enough to me!
And I think I see one way in the back that I KNOW is grail-worthy! :)

Is that even possible?!
Looks great on you, too, but you don’t have to be so happy about it...

They all look beautiful to me. I’m glad they found their way to someone who can appreciate them.

I don’t think this is the Alessandria. Great hat and gorgeous color.
