Stetson 3X, but it was the size that made me buy it. The Sweatband stitching had come undone and Randall did a first class repair for me.

7 7/8 hats don’t come around that often and I couldn’t say no. It’s far from pristine but I’m sure I’ll find it a home.

1960s Dobbs Dark Charcoal/Brown 7 1/8

1960s Dobbs Dark Charcoal/Brown
5 inch crown (4 inch to center dent) as shaped
2 inch black grosgrain ribbon
2 inch brim with overwelt

I believe early 1960s short brimmed Dobbs originally sold at Popular Dry Goods in El Paso, Texas.
I like it! I also think it looks better on your head than it does on that little stand.

I thought about referencing Wanderer, but since I was just talking about the crown ribbon treatment...

Edit: I was just looking arond at the Wanderer thread. Apparently, we've never actually seen an example in-hand, according to that thread, only ads. All the "Wanderers" on the site are either VS clones or similar, but not branded, Stetson models.

Alan has a Dunlap Wanderer, though.

You mean to tell me we know about a Stetson hat model from ads that we have never seen an example of and nobody has informed Max @drmaxtejeda about this????

Thanks, Steve. Always nice to find these licenced Stetsons.

Thanks Stefan!
In Monza the wool felt was the King as in some others European location of hats producers, above all before the 40's
The haul of Italians are a nice surprise and some confirmation about the collaboration/war between the producers.

This Stratolinear EU production is a nice hat, the color of the felt is really interesting:)
Thank you, Daniele!;)

Some nice additions, Joe. Careful with the storage room; you're stacking them up fast!
