My latest arrival Borsalino Qualita Extra Superiore Ludoita model in beautiful Crema (cream) color. It is in the styling of Stetson Open Road - thin ribbon matching skinny edge binding. And the felt very high quality super smooth And velvet touch without being a fuzzy type finish. It is not the super thin “blow a crease into it” felt of my Stetson Standard Quality. It is more of a Thicker luxurious dress weight Felt. That being said I put it through some paces with a few different creases and it handled them like a champ. From a basic center dent with soft front pinch... to a modified cattleman’s crease.. to a quick deeper diamond bash with strong side dents. It took it all in stride. It seemed to love the Cowboy shape. So we will see.

This hat had an original selling price of $25 and had some sort of cushion system behind the rear of the sweatband

@steur indicates this one to be of mid 1950’s to early 1960s. Thank you Stefan for that info and apparently forgetting to bid on this one. :);) I see a few of these have been posted on the lounge over the years. But not many

This hat took its sweet time in arrival. Due to a mix up in shipping it made a pit stop in Minnesota (no not to see Eric @Short Balding Guy). And in the mean time I received the Minnow Bucket that was meant to go to MN. It did not fit... so I decided to hold out for this big fish. Thank goodness the owner of the minnow bucket did not use the hat. For that purpose. And now it all right with the world.

On to Borsalino Brotherhood

While I was helping clear out the attic of my grandmother's house I came across a Stetson box with hat inside. I have very little information on what appears to be a pretty nice hat. John Rogers was indeed my grandfather's name but he has been dead since 1956. Let me know what you think...

Looks beyond great! Get that hat back into use! There’s so much to like about this hat, but that wide sweatband is what made me drool.

Wow, and double wow. I hope it fits you (and if it doesn't, it fits me!).

Found this a week ago at a "antique" mall. Missing the liner but simply perfect felt in great condition......changed creases 4 times while walking around with it. Interesting blocking tag that has a stetson block number as well as Stetson re-order number. We have seen it here on other stetsons before....I have wondered if it is a Stetson Factory refurbishment tag......used to differentiate from new manufacture.
A nice early/mid 50's hat, 2 3/4" bound brim and 4 5/8 at the pinch as creased now (about 5 3/4 open crown)
This is definitly on the large end of 3/8.....maybe coaxed to work for me.....if not good trade fodder!;) A fun surprise find, great color too! I really like these thin ribbon bound edge crossover hats!!:) Especially 6 cords......:):)

This one took its sweet time arriving, but in the end I'm glad it did. If the right hat comes along it is even ok if it's green (are you taking note, Max?;))
Borsalino Landasti Misto Salvia "Renna". Sounds like nobility and it is. Size 7 with the bound brim at 6cm and the (substantial) crown at 11cm at the center dent. Lightweight hat at only 96 grams. The label points toward the time periode 1936-1953. I'm thinking more towards the later end though, late forties possibly. Lovely soft hat that takes on any shape with no effort at all and a great hand as well.
It took two months for this hat to arrive and I suspect it may have been sitting in France all this time as I have had hats arrive from Germany and Italy without much delay. There is another hat however sitting in France that should have been here by now, so I suspect they are the ones that are holding this ones' siblings hostage as well. Merde!
