I received my Silverbelly Stratoliner today. While not a Premier Stratoliner, I am thoroughly pleased with it’s quality. The color is exactly what I wanted.

Resistol XDoubleX OR clone
Brim measures 2-1/2" front & back, 2-5/8" sides for the original flange & roll I'm thinking. Bound Edge with 2-cord ribbon. Full 6" open crown.

Crown is nice & thin for a DoubleX. Hand creased dry it will take some steam to hold the large forward elephant ear dents & center crease I want in it.

Not much of the 2 part tag remains so I'm still trying to determine the model based on measurements. More to come in the appropriate thread when I get it all set with steam.

This is a really good looking hat. Classic looking profile.
Stetson No. 1 Quality with a single ply ribbon. The felt is in great shape and has a good hand; not quite up to vintage 3X standards but beats the modern felts by a wide margin! Out of the box, it needs a good steaming, cleaning, and recreasing. The sweatband is brittle and torn and will have to be replaced, unfortunately. The size tag suggests late 50s or early 60's but is that consistent with the red liner? The liner is also glued in rather than sewn but I have no way to know if this was standard to this level of hat or if it has been through a cleaning and refurb at some point in its life. This is one of those hats with very little other markings. In fact, all it has is the 6-digit reorder no (?) stamped on the inside of the sweat, that's it.

Very nice find, Joe. I have the exact same hat. I don't care much for the backbow style for myself though and had it changed.Knox Twenty - Chocolate Brown
4 1/2 Crown as bashed
2 inch Brown Grosgrain Ribbon with back bow
2 1/4 brim with Cavanagh Edge
Oilskin liner tip

This one arrived today thanks to a much appreciated tip by fellow lounge member @georgie girl. I’ve been looking for a brown hat with similar dimensions for a bit as I love my black Dobbs very close in size to this. This one with its back bow and oilskin liner seem to point to 1950s vintage... and I think it’s manufacturer tag also supports that theory. The grosgrain ribbon appears to be a matching brown color.. though the grosgrain ribs can give it a grayish look depending on the light.
I will name this hat after the location of the store it was originally sold at and one of my wife’s favorite Garth Brooks songs... Tacoma
This one will climb very quickly on my favorite hats list.

That's a killer, Brent! I really dig that old style squared off crease and the shorter brim. A great looking hat!!!
