I think this Stetson Special might be the one I was thinking of, but I will keep looking. I am up to 370 hats now and my memory is shot anyway... It sucks, getting old.

I'll be more than happy to manage your hats for you, Doc. I'll even waive my typical fee. Instead of having them sent to Texas you can have them dropped shipped to my address. Next time you're in Chicago you can collect/rotate them out.

I'll admit I do better than that. I likely could manage Max's 370 hats in half a year, but 360 of them would be black homburgs. One hat like yours is worth 350 of those.

Ha ha, yes, I made a lot of progress. It still has a ways to go. The felt feels like it doesn't have any stiffener at all in it. And it is very lightweight on top of that.

I lived in Williamsburg Green in Elgin, and in 901 South Ashland, near the U of I's dental building that was in 801 S. Paulina.

About 90min east by car, though I prefer to take the train. The South Shore line can take me downtown to Millenium Station in about 2hrs (though they're making upgrades to make it faster). Takes a little longer but it's worth not having to deal with the traffic, and once you factor in gas and parking the cost ends up being a wash.

Got this really pretty and great condition Knox Custom, but unfortunately not the size the seller said it was and too big for me at 7-3/8.

It was a dirty mangled mess, but I went ahead and sanitized, cleaned, steamed and shaped it hoping I could find a good home for it on the lounge. Very pretty chocolate brown color with black ribbon. No moth bites.

1-7/8 brim
4” at the center dent
5” at the side
