Tim, at your convenience, could you take a picture of the instructions on the back?

Thanks!

A little challenging to get the pic since it’s wrapped half way around the bottle, but I tried a pano so hopefully you can read it

About to take the plunge in a resistol “fedora” however I don’t have a block tag to prove its a black gold line (20x) I’ve neve heard of a black gold fedora

I have these images but not the block tag in the sweatband

mist kinda cheap but I don’t want to buy it if it’s been redone up to look like a black gold

Lion Hats from Will Moul. It had several moth tracks and it was discolored near the break by being stored with another hat stacked over it, I suspect.
I spent some time sanding, steaming and brushing, and I the moth tracks and discoloration are gone, or close enough that makes no matter.
Before and after pics.

I don't know if this hat is considered vintage, but one thing I love of owning vintage hats, they don't have to be perfect.

For perfect hats, I have Gannon to quench my thirst[emoji1]

Very nice job[emoji106][emoji106]

Oh, it is from Will Moul's 1930s find. He found a whole bunch of hats in an old hat store. Don't let the Bavarian ribbon mislead you.[emoji4]

Got this really pretty and great condition Knox Custom, but unfortunately not the size the seller said it was and too big for me at 7-3/8.

It was a dirty mangled mess, but I went ahead and sanitized, cleaned, steamed and shaped it hoping I could find a good home for it on the lounge. Very pretty chocolate brown color with black ribbon. No moth bites.

1-7/8 brim
4” at the center dent
5” at the side

Good catch. Pity about the size. Not exactly a mystery size too. You'd expect a seller to have noticed that!

Brummel's hat in a size 57 (and true to size, so too wide for me). Bound brim at 6cm and crown 10cm at the center dent. Brummel's is a Belgian brand with links to Borsalino, either for their felts or for their finishing (or even both). Well made hats and this one is no exception. Only the liner could do with a washing.
Hats seem to appear in groups: this is one of several of this brand I've seen in a short while. Before that I think I only ever saw three of them. Do they migrate? Anyway.

Another new one. Joseph Wilson&Sons of Denton, England, "the Wilson Hat" homburg in black. Size 57, but fits me perfectly. Bound brim at a generous 6,5cm and crown 11cm at the center dent. Quite large proportions for a homburg, but it doesn't look it. It still appears a fairly sleek looking hat. Late forties or early fifties, but could even be pre-war.

A post Byer-Rolnick dress hat is a rare bird, and that's not one of those little stingies, either. Could be a conversion.
