I like it. Looks like you're ready to bulldog steers.Bailey 8X. New old stock:
Funky liner unlike anything else that I have. The hat was what I was expecting which is a victory all on its own when buying on eBay. It was a two hat deal and I’ll post the second tomorrow. These photos are in my office parking lot at the end of a very long week. Even when work beats me up I find enjoyment in a new hat. Hat therapy?

Rodeo, sliding down off of a running horse onto a steer and wrestle him to the ground. Nothing to it!I’m not sure what that means but thank you?

Don't blame you. I'm just a spectator myself.I’ll take a pass. I worked a long time to get a soft desk job to ride out the remainder of my career. I don’t think my wife would approve anyway and we both know what that means.

Lots of potential. You start with nice felt and go from there.Resistol 4X in dark grey arrived today. The fate of this one is still up in the air. I just converted a 3X to a fedora that is the exact color so that’s out. I’m going to try a kettle curl brim. No idea what crease it will end up with but I want it to stay western but not a cattleman’s crease. Maybe once I start manipulating the felt I’ll me what it wants.

I think I'll just steam it & go over it with a hat sponge to clean it. Then shape it up. I don't like doing the gas bath thing. That is really nice! Doesn't look like it needs much.

Three nice catches. Is the OR from the 50s? That Tonak is a beast!I went back and got a summer straw from a local shop today, a $10 vented parabuntal that has been sticking in my head for several weeks now.
Also picked up a couple on ebay, a sweet, soft velour Tonak and my first Open Road, a Royal Stetson with a great hand.
Yee-Haww indeed. Don't see many westerns on your head, is this a new trend?More of this MHT 3X beaver in the Western, anyone? thread.
