Mine too...
I know I've seen this type of tag many times before.
Mine too...
And if it does not work out........... Just give me a ring.....I’m really digging the hat. These online gambles usually disappointment me but every now and then one works out; just often enough to keep my trying. The hat is on the small end of 7 5/8 but I’ll make it work.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing. I mean, a small 7-5/8 is a large 7-1/2, right? I think I could make that work. And if it does not work out........... Just give me a ring.....
Looks like a great hat!!!

This was sold to me as a Dobbs (it came in a Dobbs box); however, it appears to be a jobber hat of unknown manufacturer.
And with a quick dry crease:
Does anyone recognize the labeling/branding?

Good get, Bob!
And props to Jay.
Looks great on you, Bob! I loved the finish on that felt during the brief time I handled it. A little bath, as you say, and it will look even better. Nice find!
Great looking hat in a hard to find size. Great find.

Assuming 1940’s, please correct if wrong or please advise if there is a more narrow window.

I haven’t creased as yet, it’s willing for anything.

Greetings Deadly et al:Ok I was mistaken. The size tag I was thinking of was on a hat that is now in the possession of another lounger. The professor identified it as a MacLaughlin.
Greetings Deadly et al:
Very nice hat no matter the maker Deadly. BUT if it’s a “MacLachlan” instead of (MacLaughlin),
you got a double diamond deal!! Pics of labels behind sweat??
Be well. Bowen
PS: so as not to confuse. This reply is in reference to Deadly’s “mystery Dobbs” previous post, subsequent discussion and not of the above pictured hat/sz label ref. B
