Greetings Red et al:Second is a hat that Stefan showed us a while back, it was too loose on him. Fits me like a custom. This English Lees in a nice navy blue has an upturned brim profile, not Homburgy, more like something our missing Bob would sport. Love the color of the liner. Kind of a bordello look, just my style. In need of a good steaming and some crease work. I am leaning toward a diamond on this one.

Thanks a lot.Very nice...I like your Avatar Hat also!
Nice haul!Another Mayser in black with a sweet little sharks gill. This one is unfortunately way to large to be worn. Not even with padding I think. I'll have to put a tape to it, but it is at least a 60cm. Maybe a trade hat with someone who appreciates a nice slim brim? Gorgeous hat though.

Finally had the time this evening to process the images of today's haul. A box from Holland is a vision to behold! Some quick pictures here and then I'll work on getting them into their respective European threads in more detail.
First up: A Borsalino Lobbia in what we believe to be Bismuto. The sweat is in a nice gray as well, albeit a little dry. I'll wait for conditioning before a try at the manufacture tag. As with most Borsalinos, it is a snug fitting 58. Taking it to Mike Miller's for some maintenance on thursday, I'll let him give it a nudge.

Next is a Mayser Milz in a tan with a cool ribbon treatment. I'll have to study Steve's website about Mayser hats, this is my first of this flavor. Really nice felt on this little stingy. Probably a 1960s example. This one is a rather generous 58. I think with some wear it should suck up to my LO Noggin.

Great to see them all in action, Mike. Sorry to hear the shark-gill one doesn't fit you. These things are quite hard to judge if a hat is not ones own size. The Lees was the hardest to let go (I'm a fan of the brand really). And finally, sorry for the multiple posts, it has been quite a day. A sweet Borsalino export quality stingy in Mirtillo. A little snug again, but wow, what felt. Pity the liner tip is in such bad shape, really a great Borsalino crest in there somewhere. It compares nicely with my Cavanagh in hand and look. Probably another early 1960s example. This one will be in the slim brim rotation for sure! Thanks for indulging me this evening.

Welcome back!Good evening. How is everyone doing? I have been off line for awhile. Missed you guys. I lucked up and found a modern day, brand spanking new, Borsalino Homburg. I have been looking for one for one of these for a long time.
The color is a taupe brown
The crown is about 4 3/4” and the brim is 2 1/2 “ribbon 1 1/2”
The felt feels good and pliable a little thicker than your average modern Borsalino fedora models.
Looking forward to playing with this one.

Thanks D, I'm really excited to get it in the homburg rotation.Oh Boy that is one beautiful hat, Red!
Great hat!Ottmar Reich probably mid to late 1930 to early 1940s. I think the straw type is probably Asia sourced (possibly Japanese Paper Panama) but bleached in Germany. Interesting bow design, brim treatment and form. There is no paper label and I assume it probably had some type of crown tip patch originally. This is definitely a rare find. This came from the same East German (near Leipzig) seller of the recent Echt Velour.

Very nice, Dlaniger. The brim binding is not that common. I thought you were a size 60?Good evening. How is everyone doing? I have been off line for awhile. Missed you guys. Stetson Promotional (no name non-catalogued) Royal DeLuxe open crown in Caribou. The felt is soft and exactly the same as my Premier Royal DeLuxe Stratoliners. Not sure if I'll keep the leather hat band or replace it with a grosgrain ribbon. The brown leather sweat is plain without so much as a crest. There also isn't anything under the sweat. This was a new in the box hat bought on eBay. No regrets so far. The box stated the brim is 3" but it's actually between 2 1/2 and 2 5/8.
The first wear after I popped a diamond crease into it last night.
