Borsalino Alessandria in grey - green. Camera is not getting the colour quite right, will try with better sunlight tomorrow. Beautiful felt, also very happy with this, thank you @Miamibruno!

Vintage 2017 Stetson Stratoliner Hemp Milan in sand. Kind of impressed with the quality of this "special edition" version. Great sweat, supple and not so cheap feeling. The special edition has a sheepskin sweat as an upgrade. The milan weave seems a little more substantial than their regular Royale Deluxe. It would be interesting to weigh both. The 2 1/2" brim could use a little reshaping with steam, not quite pleased with the straight on profile. Got a deal at my local haberdasher, keeping the money here in the local community.

1940s ... possibly very early 1950s ... but I suspect 40s ... Stetson Bantam

quite possibly the most beautiful hat I've handled recently ... truly remarkable ... and extremely lightweight... the quality, denseness, and thinness of this felt is truly something to behold

just so absolutely comfortable

the condition is perfect ... looks almost untouched ...

it found its way to me via my friend and hat aficionado @Joshbru3 ...

when hats were hats my friends ... when hats were hats ...

very excited

Hi guys. It's been a while since I've been on the Lounge and posted something. Life keeps getting in the way plus I can't seem to work out how to post on my new phone and computer via Tapatalk. The Lounge seems to have been updated, too. Can't quite work it out. Hope it's not a sign of old age :)

Anyway, I thought I'd try and post a vintage Mayser hat I acquired in June. It's the first hat I've discovered and bought since buying two from Daniele Tinto in January. Hope you're well Daniele.

It's a lovely golden brown, soft felt Mayser. Here are some photos.

Another cool thing about the hat was that it had the original owners initials punched in (so very German) along with his calling card inside the hat band. He was a book printer and publisher. Anyone have an idea of the date. I'd say 50's-60's.
