Nauseatingly AWESOME!Brüder Böhm, 58cm Point 5 1/2, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches probably 1930s. Fantastic Hot Wet Brushed Black Velour - Soleil that is very pliable and absorbs all light. The company paper label with model, form and color information is missing. I would like to thank Celia for letting me know about this hat which she found on French Ebay. This is a rare find.

Thanks! Celia noticed that it was Point 5 1/2 but listed as a smaller size. Turns out the hat had heavy paper spacers which made it a couple sizes smaller.Wow, that hot wet brushed look is fantastic. You and @Celia are becoming quite the Dynamic Duo!
Thank you! I agree.Wow!
That is a fantastic Velour. Just amazing.
Matt, Thanks!Nauseatingly AWESOME!
Gorgeous! I am so glad it found its way to you Steve - although I'm still a bit disappointed it wasn't my size of courseBrüder Böhm, 58cm Point 5 1/2, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches probably 1930s. It seems it is a favourite. Really nice felt and I love the light effects it makes. My mother saw it and said I had my hat wet on the back because it was much darker. One of your favorites? Certainly one of mine.
It resembles that hat, yes. What a great hat, Joao and I agree with what HJ said. Certainly reminds me of one I've seen before.

Alan, it is that hat and you are right, the first really oldie for me.Is this the Real Nutria Fur formerly known as Harv's? If so, congratulations are in order! This would be your first oldie in a sea of more modern western hats, right? I hope you'll share your impressions and comparisons.
.
BTW anyone knows were Harv is or what happened to him? He doesn't reply to PMs and his last post was February, 2.
