Hello everyone! I accidentally posted on this thread (my daily hat) because I had the thread open pondering if to post one of my latest men's hats, so here it is. Vintage yellow fur felt, tie silk pugaree and velvet binding.

Ridiculously warm over here for the time of the year, some 18ºC, but still I've worn my (rescued from the drawer) "hat for ship and shore" made a few years ago from a pattern in a 1961 book by Ruby Carnahan (the lady in the picture looks suspiciously like Angela Lansbury, doesn't she?). Some less that stellar stitching, my machine was misbehaving at the time, but still a cute and practical hat.

How about some seafood? I had lunch at "La Medusa" a tapas bar adjoining a fish stall at "El Ninot" food market in Barcelona:

And a short stop by my brother's who took this pic:

I've seen you all looking magnificent today. Bellissimo il cappello di @Daniele Tanto and gorgeous the Dobbs of @mmbarnes finally the before and after pictures of @mayserwegener hat, what a difference a new ribbon makes, and well worth bringing that hat back to pristine condition!
What a talent! Very nice! Me encanta sus sombreros, Doña Cristina!

That is a beautiful hat! Love the sculptural accent with the pin. I enjoy having you around. You add some spice!

Thank you @Redfokker us hatted people really add spice to the world, I agree! My DH just told me "people turn around to look at your hat, I love it!"... no wonder I love the guy.

What a striking color and Pug.
There's an explanation for the striking colour. I made it for a recent Saint Catherine's (Catherinettes) celebration/exhibition in Madrid, St. Catherine is the patron Saint of milliners, and yellow is one of the traditional colours along with green. Thepug matched my other hat on exhibition that I had made a few years ago for myself... I shall wear it one of these days! I think we'll agree it's a great hat for an exhibition, not so much for everyday wear I'm afraid.

It is so interesting to learn about St. Catherine and the exhibition. This is why I'm so happy to be part of this international group of friends. I still love it, but agree, you might cause some traffic stoppage by wearing it on the street!

Especially interesting to me is the square looking top blocking on this hat. Earlier this year I picked up an older Panama Hat at a local antique shop and it has a similar square top "block." So I wonder from whence your inspiration came for the shape of your hat.

Great color combos and unique form! Is there any company mark / country on the felt? I would guess it was women's felt body.

This is a show stopper Ant. It looks to be in excellent condition! What is this baby's pedigree?
I'd guess early 50s based on the red and orange labels under the sweat and the stars in the tip crest but the leaf in the sweat crest

really beautiful malleable felt on this one

and I'm becoming very fond of welted brims... especially ones beautifully executed like this ...
triple stitch is so sweet
