My "new" 40's Stratoliner showed up today from my friend Anthony. I've wanted one of these since the beginning of my hat loving days. It was dark by the time I got home so I'll get more pics later. I love this old felt. Thanks Anthony!!!

A couple of recently acquired hats:

1950s Stetson Open Road 7XCB. I finally have one that is a proper fit. Look for a larger fitting 7 1/8 7XCB and a pretty standard fitting 7 3/8 7XCB on the market/in the classifieds pretty soon. This is finally what I've been looking for.

Peters Bros Shady Oak. I've been after one of these for a very long time. The brim needs some attention as does the bash but the hat is in good shape otherwise. Nice felt but it is not a finely finished hat.

Both are nice hats but the OR is gorgeous.

I found this 50s Strat on craigslist but the young man couldn't give me a straight answer on the size. I bought it and he mailed it. It is a tan 7 1/2 open crown. It is perfect and needs a cleaning. If anyone is interested before I post it in the classifieds.

I dig the retro Peters Bros box. What's the circumference of the 7X?
