Thanks for the feedback on the hat, folks. I'm very glad to have it. I tried to read what the model was, but as a couple of you noticed, the sweat-band inside is rather...um...battered. It's not uncomfortable so that doesn't bother me.

This is now my second Christy's. I have another one (a flat cap) which I bought at the same shop for $7.

Shangas - great find! I've been thinking of a kind of beater fedora, comfortably worn so I wouldn't have to baby it - and even though yours is a Christy's of London, it looks good for that for that! But it could dress up too!

My new Cavanagh

The ebay seller say "1940's" and for myself I don't know. It seems to have the Cavanagh edge, and the felt is dense but velvety too. Here are some pictures:

1960s to 1972 actually, but it's interesting there are two printed different labels along with a third hand-printed one. Nice find.
