You never cease to amaze, Steve... WOW, and congrats!!
Hückel (Weilheim) Chevreau, gray, size 57cm / measures 58cm. Probably late 1950s and with little to no wear. The felt color and finish are fantastic. Also great overall construction and detail work.
Mayserwegener that Hückel is a nice one. The bow work is superb!

New Stetson Caribou Strat. Please excuse the :eeek: T-shirt.
This is one of the more interesting Cavanagh hats I've come across. Not sure of the age but I'm guessing circa 30s or older. It has a 1 3/4" brim with bound edge and a 5 5/8" crown depth. The liner has the older "Park Avenue at 47th Street New York" Cavanagh crest. The reeded sweatband has a taped back seam. There is no information on the sweatband except the initials "VA". I'm thinking the original sweatband may have been replaced at some point but I'm not sure. Did Cavanagh ever make rather generic leather sweatbands such as this without the Cavanagh name embossed or stamped on it? Looks like the hat can be worn with the brim up or cocked down in front, open crown or a center dent, pinched on the front or on the sides or no pinch at all. It seems to look the most natural with the brim up. It is the shortest brimmed pre-40s Cavanagh I've come across. Maybe someone knowledgeable about Cavanagh hats can shed some more light on the hat. It's hard to tell from the photos but the stitching on the bound edge is a light green.
That hat has been monkeyed with in a major way.
